Employing foreign nationals: employer obligations

LudzieHLBC

What a Polish company must do when it employs people from outside the European Union.

  • check the basis for legal residence and work before hiring
  • obtain a work permit or another basis for performing work
  • provide the contract also in a language the employee understands
  • register the employee with ZUS and keep track of notifications to the authorities
  • keep a copy of the residence document

Mistakes may result in penalties for the employer. We handle the procedures electronically from start to decision.
